Activate Your Electronic Financial Aid Notification
If you have been offered financial aid by the Office of Student Financial Services,
you are required to accept, decline, or reduce the aid offered by activating your
Electronic Financial Aid Notification (E-FAN) within 21 days
of the date of the E-FAN. Failure to do so could result in the cancellation of your
financial aid offer. Keep in mind that if you are offered grants or Work-Study, this
cancellation may not be reversible.
The E-FAN allows you to report changes in hours enrolled, additional resources and/or
scholarships received. If you or your financial aid counselor make a revision to your
financial aid award amounts, you will be required to submit a new E-FAN to acknowledge
the changes.
To begin the E-FAN activation process, you must have already been awarded financial aid,
and you must have at least a medium-assurance UT EID. To learn more about upgrading your
UT EID or to obtain your password information, use the UT EID Self-Service Tools.
