Comparing Cost of Attendance
When comparing college costs, it's important to consider the total value you
will receive. While some schools may offer you more grants and scholarships,
it is important to consider what the total annual cost will be to attend that
school. For example, if the estimated Cost of Attendance of one school is
higher than that of UT Austin, then an additional grant or scholarship that
is less than the difference may not make that school a better value. These
and other issues such as housing costs and out-of-state tuition charges
should also be considered.
| Comparison: Costs for Fall & Spring | Four-Year Private College | Four-Year Public College |
| Tuition and Fees | $23,712* | $6,185* |
| Sample Offer of Grants/Scholarships | $9,300* | $3,600* |
| Uncovered Tuition and Fees | $14,412 | $2,585 |
