Calendar for Entering Freshman Students
August
- August 1 - Begin applying for admission and scholarships using the ApplyTexas Application.
- October 1 - Begin applying for on-campus housing using the UT Austin Housing Application.
- Division of Housing & Food Service contract offers begin for first-time Freshman students.
- December 1 - ApplyTexas Application Priority Deadline for scholarship consideration.
- December 15 - ApplyTexas Application Non-Priority Deadline for remaining scholarship consideration.
- January 1 - FAFSA is available to complete for upcoming academic year.
- March 31 - FAFSA priority deadline for Summer, Fall and Spring.
- Watch the mail for your Student Aid Report (SAR).
- If selected for verification, send the required documents to OSFS.
- Watch for your Financial Aid Notification or E-FAN.
- Activate your E-FAN by accepting, declining, or reducing your awards.
- Decisions made on most large UT Austin scholarships. Notifications sent to awarded students.
- May 1 - UT Austin enrollment deposit deadline.
- Finalize your on-campus housing choices with the Division of Housing & Food Service.
- Look for a Summer job.
- Release of financial aid funds for Summer begins on or around the first day of class.
- Attend Summer Orientation.
- Complete all requirements necessary to receive your Fall financial aid.
- Release of financial aid funds for Fall begins on or around the first day of classes.
