Deadlines
Meeting deadlines is an important part of the financial aid process since many aid programs
have limited funding.
By completing the FAFSA and scholarship application by their deadlines, OSFS considers the
student for awards from limited-funding programs. (The Spring-Only deadline helps assure
timely processing of the FAFSA; it does not provide priority consideration for limited-funding
programs.)
You can apply for financial aid with the FAFSA at any time during the academic year. Some
loans and grants, such as the Pell Grant, are available to eligible students regardless of
when you apply.

For students who register early, make sure to meet the tuition payment deadline so that your classes are not dropped. You are notified of this deadline by Tuition and Fee Billing. Students with adequate financial aid can choose to "Pay With Financial Aid" as a means of meeting this deadline - but this option must be chosen each semester.
