The University of Texas at Austin administers and offers millions of scholarship dollars to thousands of Texas students. The recognition of academic merit provides the University an opportunity to acknowledge those students who have made significant achievements in their scholastic careers, either at the high school or collegiate level.

University Scholarships

University Scholarships include awards made by college or academic department committees, such as the College of Communication and its Department of Journalism; or the College of Natural Sciences and its Department of Biology.
Presidential Achievement Scholarships

The Presidential Achievement Scholarship (PAS) is designed to recognize Texas high school scholars from low and middle-income households who perform at a high academic level.
Terry Foundation Scholarships
$3,384,500
The Terry Foundation is a major contributor to students at the University by funding large four-year scholarships for students throughout the State. Terry Foundation awards are both highly competitive and prestigious.
Office of Student Financial Services Scholarships

This column of data reports on certain endowed scholarships administered and awarded directly by the Office of Student Financial Services.
Private Scholarships
$15,391,256
The University, through the Office of Student Financial Services, serves as a conduit or disbursing agent for many private scholarship committees, ranging from local Parent-Teacher organizations to the Houston Endowment Scholarship or the (San Antonio) Baumberger Endowment Scholarship.
Exclusions
Excluded from this data are NCAA athletic scholarships administered by Intercollegiate Athletics as well as financial aid (loans, grants and work-study awards) administered by the Office of Student Financial Services. Awards received by non-residents of Texas and international students are also excluded.
