The following information is for families who have already accepted a Parent PLUS loan through the UT Austin E-FAN and who have received an e-mail from the Office of Student Financial Services directing them here. IMPORTANT: You and your family MUST meet this criteria before continuing!

The PLUS Application and Master Promissory Note (MPN) is completed on-line at the Texas Guaranteed Student Loan Corporation's (TG) Loans by Web web site. The MPN is valid for up to 10 years as long as the student, parent borrower and lender do not change. Note: Even though the MPN is valid for 10 years, the student and parent borrower must still apply each year (and undergo a credit check) for any subsequent PLUS loans.

• Student’s SSN and date of birth.
• Parent borrower’s SSN, date of birth and driver’s license number.
• Name and contact information for two references.
• Lender code and name of lender chosen to fund PLUS loan.

The on-line PLUS Application and Master Promissory Note (MPN) requires that you choose a lender from which to borrow your Parent PLUS loan. We recommend that you choose a lender who participates with the Texas Guaranteed Student Loan Corporation (TG). Choosing a lender who participates with TG will provide you with the most expedient application process and the most efficient delivery of loan funds.

IMPORTANT: If you decide to use a lender who does not participate with TG, you cannot complete your PLUS Application and MPN on-line. Instead, you will need to call our office at (512) 475-6282 to request a Parent PLUS Application and Master Promissory Note for a Non-TG lender. In addition, you will need to contact the lender you have chosen to fund your PLUS loan to obtain their 6-digit lender code.
