We recommend that you use the same Stafford loan lender and if you have one, the same Graduate PLUS loan lender throughout your college career.

If you decide to change lenders, you will have to do the following:

• Complete a new Master Promissory Note. This increases processing time for your loan and may delay the delivery of funds.
• Keep track of your loans and how much you've borrowed from each lender.
• Send separate payments to each lender when you enter repayment. Even if you consolidate your loans with one lender, the consolidation process may take several months.

To change your lender, complete the Lender Change Form (PDF) and submit it to our office.
