State Top 10% Scholarship FAFSA Filing Deadline is March 15th!

The financial aid process begins with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The 2011-2012 application is available starting January 1st.
To be considered for renewal of your Top 10% Scholarship, you must:
  • Submit your 2011-2012 FAFSA by the state imposed March 15th priority deadline. Your FAFSA or TASFA must be processed by March 15th and cannot be in a REJECT status.
  • Complete 30 semester credit hours in the previous year (Fall 2010, Spring 2011, Summer 2011).
  • Credit by exam hours and AP hours cannot be included. If you take courses at another school in Summer 2011 and would like for us to include those hours, please transfer the hours to UT Austin as soon as you complete the courses. Transcripts should be mailed to the Office of Admissions. For the mailing address and more information visit the Be a Longhorn web site.
  • Maintain a 3.25 cumulative G.P.A.
  • Complete 75% of hours attempted in the previous year.
  • Have financial need.
