How to Pay Your Fall 2009 Tuition Bill with Financial Aid
Questions?
Ask Don!
I have enough financial aid to cover my tuition bill!*
  1. Go to My Tuition Bill on UT Direct.
  2. Select the appropriate semester and click View Bill.
  3. Click the Pay with Financial Aid button.
    • After choosing this option, the message at the top of the bill changes from
**Your registration is NOT complete** to **Your registration is complete**
    • Your classes are now secure!
I don't have enough financial aid to cover my tuition bill!
  1. If you do not have enough financial aid to cover your entire bill, you will not have a Pay with Financial Aid button.
  2. On My Tuition Bill, any applicable financial aid is deducted from your tuition bill on the Less Anticipated Financial Aid line.
  3. You are responsible for the remaining balance not covered by financial aid.
  4. What are my non-financial aid payment options?
    1. Out of Pocket (Installment/Credit Card/EFT)
      • Payment can be arranged on the What I Owe page. Please note, the installment plan is not available for Summer tuition.
    2. Tuition Loans
      • To be eligible, you must not have any financial bars, must have a local address on file and must be registered at least 6 hours. Non-resident tuition loans are available for 50% of the amount due.
How can I be sure my classes won’t be dropped?
  • Visit My Tuition Bill on UT Direct. If the message **Your registration is complete** appears at the top of the bill, your classes are secure.
I added a class and now I have another tuition bill. What do I do?
  • If you add/drop classes after your financial aid releases, you are responsible for paying the add bill using your financial aid funds.
*Please keep in mind only certain grants, scholarships (if OSFS has received the donor's check), and loans (Stafford, Perkins, Parent PLUS, Graduate PLUS, and BOT) are available for deferment of a tuition bill (i.e. clicking the Pay with Financial Aid button). If you were only recently awarded, your loans may not have matured in our computer system to the point necessary for deferment. Initial disbursements of alternative/private and CAL loans cannot be used to defer.
