Timing for Financial Aid and Your Tuition Bill

With the Fall 2020 semester starting soon, the university wants to help students complete the financial aid process so they can pay their tuition on time (by August 14 at 5 p.m.!) and secure their Fall 2020 classes.

Are you paying your tuition bill with financial aid?

Make sure your financial aid is released on time by completing the following steps in CASH:

  • Keep your enrollment information up-to-date.
  • Complete any outstanding requirements.
  • Activate your Financial Aid Notification (FAN). The Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid will award your financial aid by sending you a FAN. Watch the How to Accept Your Fan video for step-by-step guidance on how to activate your FAN.

After you have accepted your financial aid offer, you can use your awarded funds to help pay for tuition and secure your Fall 2020 classes:

  1. Visit My Tuition Bill,
  2. Click View Bill, and
  3. Click Pay with Financial Aid.

Note: You will see a balance on your tuition bill until your financial aid funds are transferred close to the first class day.

Cannot pay your tuition bill on time?

If you just recently submitted documentation for financial aid, time is still needed for it to be reviewed and processed. If your financial aid is still pending, eligible students also have the option of applying for a short-term tuition loan. Visit Tuition Loans on Texas One Stop for more information and how to apply.
