Need Financial Aid? Fill Out the FAFSA!

The 2021–22 Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA® is now open.

Submitting a FAFSA is required if you are interested in applying for need-based financial aid, including grants, loans and certain scholarships. The FAFSA is also required to determine eligibility for students receiving Texas Advance Commitment funding.

The FAFSA can be completed online at fafsa.gov or on the myStudentAid mobile app, available on both Apple (iOS) and Android devices.

To ensure we receive your FAFSA information, you must include UT on your list of schools. The University of Texas at Austin school code is 003658.

We encourage you to complete your FAFSA by January 15, 2021, to be considered for the widest range of financial aid support. You will still be able to submit your FAFSA after that date, however, some aid may no longer be available.
