The 2022–23 Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA® is now open.
Students must submit a FAFSA every year to be considered for need-based financial aid, including grants, loans, Work-Study and some scholarships. The FAFSA is also required to determine eligibility for students receiving Texas Advance Commitment funding.
You can complete the 2022-2023 FAFSA online or through the myStudentAid mobile app in the Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).
To ensure we receive your FAFSA information, you must include UT on your list of schools. The University of Texas at Austin school code is 003658.
We encourage you to complete your FAFSA by January 15, 2022, to be considered for the widest range of financial aid support. You will still be able to submit your FAFSA after this date, however, some aid may no longer be available. Watch the How to Complete a FAFSA video for step-by-step guidance on completing your FAFSA online.
