When to Expect A Financial Aid Offer for the 2021–22 Academic Year
The Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid will begin to send out Financial Aid Notifications (FANs) via email for the 2021–22 academic year to students on the dates indicated below.

Spring 2021 Financial Aid to be Released Beginning January 5
The Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid will begin disbursing spring 2021 financial aid, including grants and loans, on the following dates below. Funds will continue to disburse as awards are processed and made available to students.

2021-22 Continuing & Transfer Student Scholarship Application Now Available!
Current UT students, transfer applicants, AND returning UT students who are planning to attend UT during the 2021–22 academic year are eligible and must complete the online application to be considered for this scholarship.

CARES Act Emergency Funds
UT has received funds under the CARES Act and is working to provide emergency assistance to as many students as possible to help them meet their emergency financial needs during this challenging time.

GEER Emergency Educational Grant
The Governor’s Emergency Education Relief (GEER) Emergency Educational Grant is federal financial assistance for Texas undergraduate students impacted by the COVID 19 pandemic to support them in remaining enrolled in college and on track to attaining their postsecondary education.

Need Financial Aid? Fill Out the FAFSA!
The 2021–22 Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA® is now open. Submitting a FAFSA is required if you are interested in applying for need-based financial aid, including grants, loans and certain scholarships.

Timing for Financial Aid and Your Tuition Bill
With the Fall 2020 semester starting soon, the university wants to help students complete the financial aid process so they can pay their tuition on time (by August 14 at 5 p.m.!) and secure their Fall 2020 classes.
