FAFSA Deadline Quickly Approaching – File Today!

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the Continuing and Transfer Student Scholarship Application are now open, and deadlines are quickly approaching!

March 15 is UT’s single deadline for financial aid and scholarship applications. Only applications that are complete and correct by March 15 will be accepted for university-administered scholarships or state grants, so it is recommended that students and families start and submit applications as soon as possible.

For the 2018-19 FAFSA, you will report 2016 income and tax information. To make it easier, import your 2016 information using the FAFSA’s IRS Data Retrieval Tool.

The Office of Financial Aid will release Financial Aid Notifications (FANs) for continuing students during the spring 2018 semester. To ensure you receive your FAN on time, it is recommended that students file their 2018-19 FAFSA and begin the continuing student scholarship as soon as possible — don’t wait until the last minute!
